Stairways
Every stair system I build starts with the space it has to fit — the rise, the run, the sightlines, and how people actually move through it every day. I design and fabricate custom metal stairs for both interior and exterior applications, with clean welds and finish work that hold up to daily use for decades.
Building in Telluride's alpine climate means exterior stairs face real stress that lower-elevation work doesn't — snow load, ice, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles all factor into material choice and joint detailing from day one. Interior stairs get the same structural rigor, with finish quality built for a refined, architect-specced look.
Most of my stair projects come through direct collaboration with homeowners, architects, and general contractors on residential builds throughout Telluride, Mountain Village, Rico, and Placerville. Send me your plans or a rough sketch and I'll walk you through what it takes to build it.
Interior Stairways
A refined, modern look that fits contemporary mountain homes — floating treads, minimalist railings, and precise welds that read as clean lines rather than visible hardware.
Exterior Stairways
Built to handle Telluride winters without sacrificing style — weatherproof materials and finishes engineered for snow load and temperature swings, matched to any mountain residence.
